...my family, yoghourt, thyme aroma, godforsaken places, hearths and wooden balconies, laughter, thunderstorms, kittens, my friends, painting, beginnings, books on the Wisdom of the Universe, old houses, the enchantment of the Bulgarian village, nature, milk with cocoa and honey, life, silence, blue-green, bells, the sea, simple things, myself, Bulgaria.

Everything I do comes from the bottomless well of my soul, called Love. It’s important for me to be balanced and painting is one of the things that bring me peace, contentment, inner harmony and beauty. Every moment in front of the canvas, with the brushes and the colours, makes me full, peaceful, happy and free…

I am inspired by the beauty, abundance and wisdom of Nature. I paint the moment stirring me to the emotion, feeling and thrill. I paint the magic happening in my soul, making me elated and taking my breath away.I adore Bulgarian way of life, culture and architecture. I am happy to have been born and live in this country. I bow to the powerful spirit of the Bulgarian people.

I bow to the woman who gave birth and breast-fed her children in the fields; to the one who looked after the property and the cattle, washed and weaved the coverings and garments, made love to and took care of her men, fought and survived in uprisings and riots, sang and danced at village gatherings; the one personifying all that in one word – the Bulgarian woman. I bow to you, “Mother”, and thank you for all you have bequeathed to your sons and daughters, to all of us. I believe that every one of us holds a grain of this spirit and power. I found mine and offer it to you in peace, love and light.
